No. An NC Quick Pass transponder is not required to enroll in I-77 EXPRESS® Rewards. You can fully participate in this exclusive discount program by registering your vehicle and license plate.
However, customers with an NC Quick Pass account receive the lowest toll rates on I-77 EXPRESS® lanes. The toll rates displayed on roadway signs reflect the transponder rate, which applies to NC Quick Pass, E-ZPass, SunPass, and Peach Pass customers. Bill by Mail customers pay a higher rate that is double the posted rate.
Discount offers and travel thresholds are calculated using the posted transponder toll rate shown on the signs, not the higher Bill by Mail rate. As a result, customers using Bill by Mail will reach program thresholds at the same rate as NC Quick Pass holders but will pay higher tolls.
